'Created and preserved by the hand of God, the Bible was written over a period of 1,500 years by at least 39 different authors. it's 66 books include a variety of literary tyoes. Yet in spite of its diversity, the Bible is unified by one story--the story of God's persistent love for sinful people and His passionate desire to redeem them as His own.

Read the Bible for Life will help you to grasp this grand story of Scripture. You will learn how the various books of the Bible fit together to present this story and communicate God's redemptive message. And you will discover new skills for listening to, understanding, and responding to God'w word in ways that will change your life.

Read the Bible for Life will help you learn how to read the Bible more effectively, in a way that produces real fruit in your life. Over the ten weeks we will explore the dynamics of listening, understanding, and responding to God's Word. We will examine the different tyoes of literature found in the Bible so that we can read them in accordance with God's intention. We will consider how the various books of the Bible fit into the ongoing stroy of God and His people, and we will discuss ways to purposefully apply Bible reading in our everyday lives.' Upon completion of the 10-week study we will begin to read through the entire Bible chronologically over the next 52 weeks. We hope that you will make participation in the Read the Bible for Life study and Bible Reading plan a part of your 2012 New Years Resolutions.
